The land that we live on, call home, from which we offer our healing work, was once unowned land. For many, many  generations this free land was tended and stewarded by those known as the Eastern Cherokee Indians; ᏣᎳᎫᏪᏘᏱ Tsalaguwetiyi  (https://native-land.ca/maps/territories/cherokee). We acknowledge that the original people of this land were forcibly removed and oppressed by people of European descent. We grieve the past and present impacts of these events. We commit to learn about the original people and practices of this land, and take intentional actions towards reconciliation and service. We invite you to join us. 

 

We acknowledge the many years of oppression experienced by people stolen/trafficked from Africa, and their descendants. From the time of colonization, until emancipation in 1865, North Carolina was inhabited by slave owning people of European descent. We acknowledge the ongoing legacy of racism and oppression in this country; maintained by institutional policy and practices. We acknowledge the lineage of trans-generational trauma that exists today as a result of this oppression. We commit to support the dismantling of systems of oppression, and offer healing for trans-generational trauma of all kinds. We invite you to join us.

  

Live Your Truth, PLLC is an LGBTQIA+ affirming practice. We recognize the ongoing, and potentially devastating, experiences of discrimination and marginalization of our queer, non-binary, trans (+) friends. We acknowledge the perpetuation of heteronormativity and intolerance in society at large. We commit to support the channeling of these energies to embody the Guardian; non-aggressive, peaceful, boundaried, and compassionate. We commit to offer healing to interrupt cycles of trauma and violence. We commit to embody values of peace, freedom, equality, healing, and love, and we strive to live in right relationship will all living beings. We acknowledge that we are continually learning and growing, and we will make mistakes.
